Joanna Dearman - Current Technician

Research Technician

My work focuses on the interactions between stress, environment, and fentanyl use. In my research, I use an animal model to assess the effects of long-term environmental enrichment and its absence on the acquisition, maintenance, withdrawal, and reinstatement of fentanyl-seeking behavior.

Following my gap year as a research technician, I plan to pursue a career as an Anesthesiologist Assistant and obtain my Master’s in Science in Anesthesia.

During my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, baking, traveling, and reading mystery novels.
